For the five SNPs of CD44 (rs10836347C > T, rs13347C > T, rs1425802A > G, rs11821102G > A, and rs713330T > C), Jiang et al10 found that individuals in Suzhou with the rs13347C > T CT and TT genotypes had a higher risk of breast cancer than CC carriers (for CT: OR = 1.69; for TT: OR = 2.22), and the same results have also been confirmed in the southern Chinese populations.
