Therefore, we analysed the expression in spinal cord tissue from mice at 130 days of age of several genes involved in glial function, which are altered in ALS, and compared their expression between SOD1G93A EfnA5+/+ and SOD1G93A EfnA5+/− mice, to find a potential mechanism for the worsening of disease progression. This evidence concerns the gene EFNA5 and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
