To determine the impact of P. chabaudi AS infection on DME function, the pharmacokinetics of five prototypical human P450 drug substrates were analysed after oral cassette dosing: caffeine (CYP1A2), bupropion (CYP2B6), tolbutamide (CYP2C9), midazolam (CYP3A) and bufuralol (CYP2D9) on day 8 post-infection. This evidence concerns the gene CYP1A2 and infection.
