Furthermore, our current results, combined with our previous report showing that CTRP3 supplementation induced angiogenesis and attenuated post-MI remodeling, suggested that locally enriched CTRP3 may function as a regulatory factor within the cardiac niche, both contributing to the survival of implanted cells and protecting ischemic myocardium.
