EGFR and colon adenocarcinoma: In colonic adenocarcinoma, an increasing number of studies have shown that tumors located in the left‐sided colon and the right‐sided colon, which originate from the hindgut and midgut, respectively, share different molecular features, characteristics, and prognoses as well as different responses to certain kinds of therapy, such as chemotherapy and EGFR antibody therapy.17, 18, 19, 20 However, a comparison of colonic NENs originating from the midgut and hindgut has not been reported.12, 21 Our study was the first to suggest that the two sites of colonic NENs were indeed different.
