Interestingly, down-regulation of ADAMTS5 was found to be associated with late-onset tumours (≥55 years) compared to ET (≤40 years), (FC = −6.5 in LT and FC = −4.5 in ET, p = 0.013), suggesting the involvement of loss of this gene in the molecular pathogenesis with late-onset breast cancer. Here, ADAMTS5 is linked to breast carcinoma.
