In univariate analysis, ALT elevation (grade ≥1) was significantly or marginally associated with the following factors: female gender (p = 0.074), liver cirrhosis (p = 0.043), rs4646437 genotype CC (p = 0.045), AST ≥46 IU/L (p = 0.070), and alpha-fetoprotein ≥5.9 ng/mL (p = 0.088). Here, AFP is linked to cirrhosis of liver.
