Investigated against a panel of tyrosine and serine/threonine kinases, DP01920 revealed a multi-effective profile, proving to inhibit also the tyrosine kinase receptor c-Kit, which plays a key role in melanoma initiation and progression, and the serine/threonine kinase AurA, which is a master of cell division in coordination with the parent AurB and AurC (Fig. 1). This evidence concerns the gene MARK2 and melanoma.
