Amongst Uygur women over 43 years of age, individuals carrying the heterozygous genotype rs1060555-‘CG’ in TNFAIP8L1 (OR = 0.40, 95% CI: 0.17–0.92, P=0.017) were less likely to suffer from cervical cancer when compared with the homozygous ‘CC’. This evidence concerns the gene TIPE1 and cervical carcinoma.
