Our findings reveal that ROCK1 activity is increased in brain tissues from both AD patients and in an AD mouse model, and the results are consistent with previous observations that up‐regulation of ROCK1 mRNA and protein is associated with neurodegenerative diseases such as HD and Parkinson's disease (PD; Narayanan, Chopra, Rosas, Malarick, & Hersch, 2016; Villar‐Cheda et al., 2012). The gene discussed is ROCK1; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
