E2F1 and breast cancer: Since increased levels of this transcription factor cause deregulation of core c-NHEJ factors, we examined which of these changes are relevant for progressive disease and survival outcome in a high E2F1 context (reflecting primary BC tumors with the potential to grow invasively) and performed Kaplan-Meier analyses of RNA-Seq data from TCGA cohorts of BC patients with high E2F1-expressing tumors, for each individual c-NHEJ factor.
