The role of specific biomarkers (AMH, INH-A, INH-B, INSL3) and hyperandrogenemia in pathophysiology of PCOS and the association of them with obesity and/or IR have been investigated in different studies; however, to the best of our knowledge, this study is the only one that analyzed the association of all these biomarkers and hyperandrogenemia together with obesity and IR, determined IR by OGTT, and restricted the participants to only adolescent girls. Here, INSL3 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
