Of these, IL-33-mediated Treg infiltration has been described to contribute to an immunosuppressive milieu and poor prognosis not only in cancer, as seen in CRC and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) models (58, 59), but also in murine models of chronic inflammatory diseases, such as colitis-induced colorectal cancer and allergic contact dermatitis-skin tumorigenesis, which in turn, might be prone to develop cancer (60). Here, IL33 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
