The content of IL-33 in tumor was greater than in healthy tissue of the left colon of CRC patients with lymphatic metastasis, so we evaluated IL-33 and ST2 distribution (determined by co-staining by IFI of IL-33/α-SMA and ST2/Ecad) and found nuclear and cytoplasmic IL-33 localized in tumor epithelium (similar to the primary tumor) with cytoplasmic in fibroblastic cells (areas with desmoplasia, α-SMA+). The gene discussed is ACTA1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
