To investigate whether AQP5-mediated H2O2 transport underlies signal transduction in pancreatic cancer progression, we evaluated the rate of cell migration before and upon cell treatment with extracellular H2O2 of BxPC3 cells silenced for AQP3 (siAQP3), for AQP5 (siAQP5), and control cells transfected with a non-targeting construct (siCtrl). This evidence concerns the gene AQP5 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
