LMNA and laminopathy: So the role of A-type lamins in the regulation of TAD cliques, and whether they are differentially affected in B versus A compartments, will be important to investigate in the context of lamin A mutations causing laminopathies (Worman, 2012) – in particular mutations that affect lamin-chromatin interactions and gene positioning (Mewborn et al., 2010; Perovanovic et al., 2016; Paulsen et al., 2017; Briand and Collas, 2018; Briand et al., 2018).
