OVA-sensitized mice were protected from food allergy anaphylactic death by 60% and observed with significantly suppression of OVA-specific IgE,IL-17, TH2 cytokines (IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, IL-13) and TH1 cytokines (IFN-γ and IL-12) with the treatment of 25 mg/kg of extract. Here, IL5 is linked to food allergy.
