Considering that the rs1051169 polymorphism mayplay an important role in the etiology of SLE, especially in the patients withneurologic disorder, we then performed a comparison between rs1051169 genotypesand serum S100B levels, and observed that the patients with neurologic disordercarrying the rs1051169 CC/GC genotypes presented higher serum S100B levelscompared with those carrying the rs1051169 GG genotype (both p< 0.05) (Figure 1B). This evidence concerns the gene S100B and systemic lupus erythematosus.
