AKT is the main component of the insulin signalling pathway, and earlier studies had shown that FAIM expression is essential for the activation of Akt2 in thymocytes and myeloma cells.28 Our current study found that Akt2 phosphorylation (Ser474) was increased in the liver of LV‐FAIM mice, while reduced in LV‐shFAIM mice compared with that in obese control mice. This evidence concerns the gene AKT2 and plasma cell myeloma.
