In the last years, combination of VEGF and angiopoietin‐2 (Ang2) blockage has shown greater effects than single targeting of both molecules in decreasing tumor growth, angiogenesis, vascular abnormality, and metastasis (Brown et al, 2010; Koh et al, 2010; Kienast et al, 2013; Rigamonti et al, 2014; Scholz et al, 2016; Allen et al, 2017; Schmittnaegel et al, 2017), thus increasing the promise of anti‐angiogenic VEGF‐targeting in combinatory therapies.
