In recent years, various specific markers of stemness, including CD44, CD117, aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH), CD133, CD24, and the epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM), have been used to isolate and characterize ovarian cancer stem cells [26,27,28,29,30,31,32] (Table 1).
