The ability of urinary TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 to predict AKI was evaluated within 12 hours in 4 studies[13–15,17] and within 24 hours in 1 studies.[16] All 5 studies used the commercially available NephroCheck test to measure TIMP-2 and IGFBP7 concentrations in urine samples. This evidence concerns the gene TIMP2 and acute kidney injury.
