Cancer susceptibility candidate 11 (CASC11), which was also located on 8q24.21 region, not only promoted the growth and metastasis of colorectal cancer cells by interacting with heterogeneous ribonucleoprotein K (hnRNP-K) and activating Wnt/β-catenin pathway [9], but also facilitated the cell proliferation, migration and invasion in hepatocellular carcinoma and in gastric cancer via activating PI3K/AKT signaling pathway and regulating cell cycle pathway, respectively [10, 11]. The gene discussed is CASC11; the disease is gastric cancer.
