Via first targeting delivery of the MMP inhibitor, MATT, to the tumor with LTSLs and the resultant maintenance of the TME's integrity, the metastasis is blocked and cancer cells are locked in the TME; and subsequently, the other cytotoxic nanomedicine, PTX‐Ns, is intratumorally injected and kill the “locked” cancer cells efficiently, exhibiting as zero metastasis to the lung and almost 100% inhibition of tumor growth. This evidence concerns the gene TMEM79 and cancer.
