To further reinforce the contribution of dynein to RSV-induced mitochondrial perinuclear clustering, we pretreated cells with small interference RNAs (siRNAs) targeting cytoplasmic dynein (DYNLT1 or DYNC1H1), as well as controls of siRNA targeting kinesin light chain 1 (KLC1) (Hirokawa et al., 2009) or scrambled siRNA (scr), prior to virus infection. This evidence concerns the gene DYNC1H1 and viral infectious disease.
