Interestingly, Fusobacterium nucleatum (Fn)-associated dysbiosis was found in gastrointestinal disease, including colorectal cancer (CRC) and CD (Yu T.C. et al., 2017; Liu et al., 2018), and highly invasive strains of Fn were suggested to be useful biomarkers for IBD (Strauss et al., 2011).
