Notably, we also found that more proteins were shared between the cardioembolic stroke subtype and CBS deficiency (13–15 shared proteins) than between the large-vessel or the lacunar subtype and CBS deficiency (seven shared proteins) (Figure 2A), suggesting that the CBS deficiency proteome better resembles the cardioembolic stroke proteome than the large-vessel or the lacunar stroke proteome.
