Regarding the risk of stroke, glitazones were associated with a decreased risk of all strokes compared to control and DPP-4 inhibitors (OR = 0.74 [95% CrI: 0.57; 0.95] and OR = 0.72 [95% CrI: 0.52; 0.98], respectively); sulfonylureas and SGLT-2 inhibitors were associated with an increased risk of stroke compared to glitazones (OR = 1.53 [95% CrI: 1.13; 2.15] and OR = 1.45 [95% CrI: 1.06; 2.03], respectively). This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A2 and stroke disorder.
