In spite of this, (i) the homogeneity of the allelic frequencies obtained in this phase with respect to the same groups included in phase I and, (ii) the fact that LDLRAP1 has not been previously associated with Alzheimer ́s disease (according to the GWAS catalogue data from NHGRI-EBI available at www.ebi.ac.uk/gwas), suggest that the allelic frequencies obtained in phase II are not deviated. The gene discussed is LDLRAP1; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
