With the presence of lung fibrosis and elevated CRP, the median time to an outcome event was 1.53 years versus 4.48 years for patients without any risk factors, that is, active DU, CRP elevation, significant dyspnoea, lung fibrosis, muscle weakness, pericardial effusion or proteinuria (figure 2A; p<0.001 by log-rank test). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is pericardial effusion.
