Based on these findings and with the aim of highlighting the functional role of NOS2 in GBM biology, in this study we explored the possible involvement of the autophagic process and associated vesicle biogenesis in the in vitro anti-tumoral actions of a selective NOS2 inhibitor, 1400W on U87MG cell line, which basically expresses high levels of NOS2 [17].
