Numerous studies have confirmed that mTOR and ERK1/2 are involved in regulating cardiac hypertrophy.10, 36 Activation of AMPKα can inhibit phosphorylation of mTOR and ERK1/2.37 In our study, cordycepin significantly inhibited pressure overload‐ induced mTOR and ERK1/2 hyperphosphorylation, whereas CpC, an AMPKα inhibitor, abolished this inhibition. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and cardiac hypertrophy.
