FOXF2 and breast cancer: These results indicate that the BMP/SMAD signaling pathway mediates the FOXF2-regulated osteotropism of breast cancer metastasis and osteoclastogenesis, as well as the metastatic potential of luminal cells toward the lung and liver, but is not remarkably involved in FOXF2 deficiency-conferred the lung- and liver-specific metastatic potential on BLBC cells.
