Virus control in NK cell–depleted WT mice was similar to that in Fcer1g–/– mice treated with anti-NK1.1 or isotype antibody in most lymphoid, non-lymphoid organs as well as in the serum (Fig 6D and 6E), which suggest the pivotal role of FcεRIγ–deficient NK cells in honing the CD8+ T cells as well as resolving the persistent viral infection.
