It has been shown that in an experimental model of colorectal cancer Endoglin expression possibly has an important role in tumor angiogenesis (Ilhan et al., 2016[11]) and another study on colorectal cancer patients showed a positive correlation of Endoglin overexpression with the presence of angiolymphatic invasion and lymph node metastases (Saad et al., 2004[30]). The gene discussed is ENG; the disease is colorectal cancer.
