The association between PCOS and hypertension was discovered from subnetwork 28 with the identification of five PCOSrps; i.e., BBS1 (Bardet–Biedl syndrome 1 protein), BBS2 (Bardet–Biedl syndrome 2 protein), JUN (transcription factor AP-1), MYH9 (myosin-9), and SMAD4 (mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 4), and all these are linked to hypertension. This evidence concerns the gene JUN and polycystic ovary syndrome.
