It has been verified that in MDA-MB-231 cells, the downregulated expression of lncRNA-ROR can inhibit the EMT of breast cancer by increasing the expression of negative regulator miR-205-5p and reducing the expression of ZEB1 and ZEB2, key EMT-TFs that, more than others, play a central role in controlling EMT activation (74), both of which include two zinc finger domains capable of binding to E-boxes in the gene promoter region, such as the E-cadherin promoter (50). This evidence concerns the gene ZEB2 and breast carcinoma.
