To explore the potential mechanisms underlying FOXN3 inhibition of the growth, migration and invasion of colon cancer cells, they used luciferase reporter gene assay to detect the activity of FOXN3 in various signaling pathways, whereby they found that the overexpression of FOXN3 inhibited the activity of Top flash (the target gene for the β-catenin/TCF signaling pathway when treating was performed using lithium chloride). This evidence concerns the gene HNF4A and colonic neoplasm.
