Based on the cut-off CG methylation levels of ROC curve for the asthma prediction, we further used multifactor dimensionality reduction (MDR) assay to identify that the combinations of higher CG methylation levels of LMO2_E148 (≧28.5%) and GSTM1_P266 (≧41.5%), and higher CG methylation levels of LMO2_E148 and IL10_P325 (≧38.5%) predicted a significantly higher risk of childhood asthma (Table 4). The gene discussed is IL10; the disease is childhood onset asthma.
