In the present study, we described, for the first time, the increased expression of the transcription factor Oct-6 (POU3F1—POU class 3 homeobox 1 (an Octamer binding- POU-homeodomain family member)), a pivotal regulator of neural morphogenesis and epidermal differentiation [15,16,17,18,19], in various cancer cell lines following treatment with the chemotherapeutic drug Dox. Here, POU3F1 is linked to cancer.
