CAR-engineered T lymphocytes (CAR-T) against the B-lineage antigen CD19 recently produced impressive clinical results in the field of hematologic B-cell malignancies [6,7], including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) [8,9], and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) [10,11,12].
