Compared with the control group, the time-course quantitative analysis showed that forced expression of glioma cells with ASCL1 lentivirus resulted in a dramatic decrease in the number of BrdU-labeled cells (Figure 6B,C), suggesting that ASCL1-mediated neuronal reprogramming might lead to cell cycle exit of glioma cells (Figure 6D). This evidence concerns the gene ASCL1 and central nervous system cancer.
