EIF2A and breast cancer: Depending on cell types, stress duration and intensity, and many other factors, the cells exhibit different outcomes of ISR.1, 6 Recent studies suggested that cancer cells experienced an impaired canonical translation and directed translational machinery to EIF2A‐dependent translation when encountering various microenvironmental stresses in tumourigenesis.23 Here, we show that paclitaxel induces ISR in breast cancer cells and patient samples.
