The literature indicates that COR represses tumor growth in vitro by inhibiting mTOR pathway (AKT/mTOR) in the Leydig tumor cell line MA-10 [59]; however, in the healthy renal cell line NRK-52E and in other cell types, COR induces the mTORC1 pathway (elF2α/mTORC1/p65 of NF-κB), which then sensitizes cells to TNF-α-induced apoptosis [61].
