In earlier studies, LMX1A expression was found to be up‐regulated in glioma and showed positive correlation with histologic grade and clinical stage, which was consistent with our finding.42 More importantly, results showed that overexpressed LMX1A obviously rescued the miR‐499a‐5p‐induced tumour‐suppressive effects on glioma cells, expositing that miR‐499a‐5p impeded the malignant progression of glioma cells via reducing LMX1A expression. The gene discussed is LMX1A; the disease is glioma.
