(b) Decreased JKAP level might interact with other clinical features, such as inflammatory cytokines and advanced disease severity, to influence the survival; hence, JKAP was not an independent predictive factor for survival in sepsis patients.6 This might be supported by one of our findings which elucidated that JKAP was negatively correlated with APACHE II score, SOFA score, TNF‐α, IL‐1β, IL‐6, and IL‐17, and that SOFA score and IL‐1β were independent predictive factors for decreased survival in sepsis patients.
