In multivariate analyses, SOFA score ≥ 10 (OR 3.59, 95% CI 1.72–7.47), serum urea concentrations ≥ 6.7 mmol/L (OR 2.71, 95% CI 1.47–5.04), and urine β2M levels ≥ 2769 ng/mL (OR 2.14, 95% CI 1.16–3.96) were associated with the increased risk for AKI. Here, B2M is linked to acute kidney injury.
