TET1 and neoplasm: In the process of laryngeal squamous cell carcinogenesis, when CpG sites hypermethylation occurs in the promoter region of E-cadherin, SSTR5-AS1 may also act as a tumor suppressor gene to upregulate the expression of E-cadherin by recruiting TET1 to E-cadherin to hydrolyze 5′-mc to 5′-hmc, thus inhibiting the occurrence of EMT.
