CD4 and HIV infectious disease: All variables with a significance value in the bivariate analysis were entered in to multiple logistic regression model and in multivariate analysis the variables age groups 18-29 (AOR = 3.8, 95 % CI: 1.25-11.52, P ≤ 0.018), age groups 30-39 (AOR = 3.4, 95% CI: 1.37-8.25, P ≤ 0.008), recent number of CD4+ cell count less than 350 (AOR = 2.4, 95 % CI:1.11-5.09, P≤ 0.026), alcohol consumption (AOR= 7.4, 95 % CI: 2.46-22.11, P ≤ 0.001), and WHO stage of II HIV infection (AOR= 5.4, 95 % CI: 2.00-14.36, P ≤ 0.001) were found to have statistically significant association with bacterial pneumonia.
