Huang et al. reported that reinvigoration of exhausted CD8 T cells (Tex-cell) positively correlated with tumor size and the ratio of Tex-cell reinvigoration to tumor size was significantly associated with better ORR and longer OS in melanoma patients treated with pembrolizumab (73), indicating that tumor size is a predictive factor for poor response to ICI treatments. Here, CD8A is linked to neoplasm.
