The expression of the DNA methyltransferase genes Dnmt1, Dnmt3a, and Dnmt3b and the DNA demethylase genes Tet1 and Tet2 was significantly up-regulated in HCC samples only, while the expression of Uhrf1 gradually increased throughout liver carcinogenesis (Figure 5). The gene discussed is TET2; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
